Dr. Bianca Gasparrini qualified in Veterinary Medicine at Federico II University of Naples in 1994. In 1999 she achieved the title of PhD in “Animal Breeding”-XI cycle, c/o Federico II University of Naples. During her PhD she spent a sabatical year at AgResearch Reproductive Technologies Laboratory, Ruakura Research Center, Hamilton, New Zealand. In 1999 she was awarded a Postdoctorate grant c/o Federico II University of Naples. In 2000 she was given a Postdoctorate grant c/o the Department “Division of Gene Expression and Development”, Roslin Institute, Roslin, Midlothian, UK. From 2002 to 2014 she held a researcher position, in 2014 she became Associate Professor c/o Federico II University of Naples and since June 2020 she il Full professor at the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production, scientific area veterinary clinical obstetrics. Her main research topis are : Reproductive technologies in farm animals (mainly buffalo and cattle), Ovum pick-up and IVEP in buffalo and cattle, improvement of culture conditions by natural antioxidants and apoptosis inhibitor, evaluation of the effects on environmental factors on oocyte /embryos, identification of new biomarkers of sperm fertility and oocyte developmental competence, cryopreservation of oocytes/embryos.
