José Felipe Warmling Spricigo is originally from Urubici -SC, a city located in southern Brazil. Bachelor in Veterinary Medicine at the University of State of Santa Catarina (2009). In 2010, started the master's in Animal Science program at the University of Brasília, Brazil. Upon completion of his M.Sc. degree in 2011, he started a Ph.D. in the same program, at the University of Brasília, which was completed in 2016. Part of his Ph.D. project was developed at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain. Both, his master thesis and Ph.D. dissertation, studied events related to bovine reproductive physiology and biotechnology. Back in 2017, he conducted his first Postdoctoral research program in Embrapa- Genetic Resources and Biotechnology, Brazil. In collaboration with his supervisor, studied an alternative system for the production of in vivo bovine embryos, without the use of stimulating hormones (TIFOI). Held a Postdoctoral grant in the Department of Animal Biosciences, at the University of Guelph, Canada (2017-2019). During this time, his research focused on dairy cow health, nutrition, and reproductive physiology. In June of 2020, he joined the Escola de Veterinária e Zootecnia (EVZ) at the Universiade Federal de Goiás (UFG), Brazil, as Assistant Professor in Animal Reproduction.
